Professional Experience:
Michael is a vice president in the firm’s assurance practice and is a key member of the firm’s retail, distribution, and manufacturing industry teams. Mike leads the firm’s private enterprise practice group: a team of dedicated practice professionals who assist owner-managed and family-owned businesses with the complex challenges they face, such as strategy formation and execution, leadership, conflict resolution, governance and control, and comprehensive exit strategy planning.  He has close to 30 years of experience providing audit and tax compliance and management advisory services to companies in various industries, including retail and wholesale lumber, building materials, construction, personal service, manufacturing, and government contractors. Michael works closely with the client’s management team to deliver audit and tax compliance services. He also works closely with company shareholders to formulate short-and long-term strategies to ensure their success.

Michael is a member of the firm’s transactions services group and specializes in financial due diligence and quality of earnings. As a member of the firm’s executive committee, Michael helps to lead the strategic direction of the firm. He is also a trustee for the firm’s charitable foundation.
